Chandrayaan prepares for Oct. 22 launch, "come rain or shine"

Perhaps the latest slight increase in the trickle of data from JAXA's Kaguya was prompted by the impending countdown of Chandrayaan 1 on-board the ISRO's polar launcher, to remind the lunar science community that Kaguya has been orbiting the Moon for more than a year.

Regardless, interest in Asia in on the increase, with more and more stories from the region repeating the news that Chandrayaan 1 is still on track for launch on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
